RECENT BUSINESS DONATIONS AND GRANTS
Iowa Arts Council Grant (IEDA)
Gov. Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Economic Development Authority Authority (IEDA) announced that more than $1.4 million in grants were awarded to advance the arts, culture, and creative industries across Iowa. We're so grateful that the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens received $10,000. THANK YOU!
Lowe's Hometowns Grant
We're so thankful that, with this Lowe’s Hometowns grant, the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens will be completing a 340-foot ADA walkway with railing in the upper part of the Japanese Garden. The current pea gravel pathway makes it hard for those with mobility challenges to visit this part of the garden.
NEA + THE CITY OF DUBUQUE
Thank you to the National Endowment for the Arts and The City of Dubuque for a $25,000 grant that will help us continue to grow! Funds will be used for partial salary support, contracted services, and marketing and promotional costs related to the Arts.

DUBUQUE RACING ASSOCIATION
WITH APPRECIATION: The Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens received a $35,000 grant to install new bathrooms at the entrance to the Legacy Tree Trail. Executive Director Jenna Hirtz said the trail has grown more popular in the past year, and adding bathrooms will keep guests more comfortable.
CITY OF DUBUQUE

Thank you to the City of Dubuque Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs for awarding us with an Arts & Culture Operating Support Grant of $21,000+ for "continued contributions to the cultural vibrancy and creative enrichment of the Dubuque community."
HYVEE AT MUSIC IN THE GARDENS 2023
WE'RE SO APPRECIATIVE of HyVee (on Dodge), our MITG partner! They grill burgers, brats, and hot dogs at the Sunday evening concerts.
Season 2023. HyVee's generous donation to the Arboretum amounted to $3,400+! Thank you!
TH MEDIA
We're grateful to the Woodward Communications Foundation and TH MEDIA (Telegraph Herald) for their generous contribution ($12,300) toward the paved ADA pathway from the Hosta Garden to the Koi Pond in the Japanese Garden. This 270-foot hillside path is a very popular trail and a top-traveled path that our tour carts utilize as well. Once completed, this walkway will allow guests to make a full loop of the grounds.
